What is the shelf life / expiration of your products?

We use three special preservatives all derived from natural ingredients such as aspen bark and fermented radish root (leucidal) and advise our customers to use within 6 months of opening for highest quality. Unopened products, that are not exposed to heat and high temperatures have a shelf life of approximately 18 months (although we have some batch samples that are still fresh and viable long past the 1 year mark.) We recommend storing our products in a cool, dry setting under 75 degrees F/ 24 degrees C to preserve their quality. 

Are your products 100% Vegan?

Yes, all French Girl products are 100% vegan & cruelty-free.  Our lip tints are carmine-free. All of our products are tested on French Girls, never on animals. 

Do you use preservatives?

Most of our products are preservative free and 100% organic. No formaldehyde, silicone, parabens, gluten (except where noted in the description) or BPA plastic is used at French Girl. If we sell an item that has a water-based component (such as room sprays) we must use a gentle eco-preservative to retard the development of mold & bacteria. Please get in touch if you have questions about the preservatives we use.

Are your products nut-free?

French Girl products are 100% nut-free.

Are your products gluten-free?

Yes, all of our products are gluten-free (except the Rose Cleansing Wash which includes a small amount of hydrolyzed wheat protein).

Do your products contain soy?

No, all French Girl products are soy-free.

Are your products safe to use while pregnant or nursing?

We love botanical ingredients, but we recommend that you consult a health care practitioner if you have any concerns about whether our products may be right for you. We offer our products as cosmetics only. 

Are your products GMO free?

Yes, all of our products are GMO-free. We exclusively source our ingredients from companies that provide us with non-gmo products.  

Where are your products made?

All of our products are made in our production studio in Seattle, WA. 

Where do you source your materials from?

French Girl is committed to supporting companies that operate with sustainable and fair-trade practices . Those we source from range from small independent farms to larger cooperatives that obtain their ingredients from organic and/or wildcrafted sources.  

Do you offer samples?

We don't offer samples at this time, please stay tuned!

Are your Bath and Body products safe to use on children?

Our products don't contain any harmful artificial preservatives. For instance, all our body oil products contain only natural ingredients that are safe for anyone to use.

Please consult with your pediatrician to ask if our products are safe for your children. Make sure to check our ingredients for anything they may be allergic to.

Are your products water-free?

We are working to make all of our products water-free.

As of today, a vast majority of our organic skincare, toners, lip tints, organic vegan perfumes,and candles are water-free.

I am a health worker, and my job requires me to wear a mask all day. Can you offer me tips on taking care of my skin?

Avoid wearing makeup.

Cleanse your face before and after putting on your mask.

Use a facial mist or toner throughout the day.

Apply a skin barrier with oils and creams rich in fatty acids.

Avoid products with harsh chemicals.

Always keep your skin moisturized with a barrier cream after cleansing and toning.

Do natural body oils provide more value than lotions?

Yes! The highly concentrated active ingredients in natural body oils can penetrate more deeply into the skin, and they are also free of harmful chemicals.

It only takes a few drops of natural body oils to moisturize your entire body, while it takes a few pumps from a lotion dispenser to achieve the same result.

Lotion rubs off quickly while natural body oils are absorbed by your skin more effectively, meaning you only have to apply natural body oils once to last you all day.

 

How can I moisturize my skin using natural body oils to maximize its benefits?

Exfoliate your skin before applying natural body oil.

Take time to massage the oil gently into your skin until it is well absorbed to avoid any lingering greasy feel.

What benefits does the French Girl Lip Tint give over other lip tint products?

Not only is the French Girl Lip Tint an emollient mineral lip tint,it is also a hydrating and lustrous lip balm in one!

All French Girl Lip Tint products are made from natural ingredients that are balanced with an enriching blend of wildcrafted pure plant oils, waxes, and different kinds of plant-based butter to moisten the lips.

The pure organic essential oils give them a light minty scent and flavor.Natural iron oxides and micas provide the pigment that gives the French Girl Lip Tint its gorgeous color.

Does French Girl body oil contain ingredients that can help in the early onset of aging?

Yes. The sunflower oils in our Lumière Body Oil have antioxidants that lower the risk of developing early signs of aging.

Moreover, none of our products contain harmful chemicals that negatively affect the aging process, such as parabens or PEGs (polyethylene glycols), found in most off-the-shelf lotions.

How can French Girl products help reduce anxiety and stress?

Our natural sea salts, such as the Menthe Sea Soak, contain the stimulating properties of Peppermint, Rosemary, and Lavender which both soothe and energize. Natural body oils containing rose oil, such as our Lumière Body Oil, have a mood-boosting scent. Additionally, our products made from ylang-ylang and rose have anti-seborrheic and hypotensive properties that can also be a mild sedative.

Do French Girl products contain ingredients that promote better sleep?

Yes. Among the ingredients contained in the Lumière Body Oil- Jasmin is Vetiver. Vetiver was found to help people who snore heavily. It has calming properties and has been used for centuries to relieve insomnia.

Our Lumière Body Oil - Rose has rose oil which, aside from being excellent in alleviating anxiety, can improve sleep.

Are French Girl organic vegan perfumes safer to use if I have allergies?

Yes, for the most part. The main cause of perfume allergies is the chemical components and deodorant they contain. Our organic vegan perfumes don’t contain these allergy-causing ingredients and are preservative-free. Always consult your doctor first if you are prone to allergic reactions when using a new product.

Can French Girl natural hair oil prevent frizzy hair?

Yes. Our natural hair oil products such as Rose Hair Oil contains castor oil among its ingredients.

Castor oil helps to tame hair naturally.

Castor oil contains Omega 6 and Omega 9 fatty acids and is rich in Vitamin E and minerals which help prevent hair frizziness. Moreover, it has natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

How can I track my order?

As soon as your order ships you will receive an email confirmation with your USPS tracking number. 

My tracking shows my package has been delivered. Where is it?

With the USPS tracking number provided please contact your local Post Office for any further delivery details. If you still have not received your order please contact us at customercare@frenchgirlorganics.com and we will do our best to help you resolve the matter.  

Will I need to pay customs for my international order?

Please note that International orders must pass through customs and may take up to 4 weeks to reach their destination. Parcels held at customs may be subject for review by the parcel service and revised customs charges may occur.  We, the seller cannot be responsible for custom charges that may occur, nor can we provide a refund or exchange if you decide to forgo said charges.  

What is your return policy?

We only replace defective or damaged product.  Please contact us at customercare@frenchgirlorganics.com where we are happy to assist you. 

Can I cancel my order?

When an order is placed we begin processing immediately, to ensure prompt delivery. We are unable to cancel or change an order once it has been submitted. Please check that your billing and address details are accurate before submitting your order. 

I have an issue with my order, who should I contact?

Can I use multiple discount codes?

One discount code or gift card may be applied per order. 

Is the packing material you use eco-friendly?

Yes! Our packing peanuts are biodegradable and made from organic starch while our pink bubble wrap is recyclable and made from post-consumer materials. Both are FDA approved and made in the USA. 

What is Route?

We've partnered with Route, a package protection & tracking solution, to give our customers the best possible delivery experience. When you add Route at checkout, you can easily file issues for lost, stolen, or damaged packages in the unfortunate case that they arise.
