A time for remembrance. Mexico will always remain a deep experience for me; it was the first place outside the United States I'd lived and for this very idealistic, newly graduated college student, it became an eye-opening immersion into a world beyond our culture. Our daughter was born in a small farmhouse in the Pennsylvania countryside
under a waxing Halloween moon. We considered it a most auspicious sign. Tonight we make a special All Hallows' Eve rouge-red smoky cocktail to celebrate the occasion. Recipe after the jump.
